Let there be sun!!

It was pretty much rainy and grey in Christchurch the last couple of days so it was great to see the sun today (it's actually raining now but it's 9:45 so who cares.) I went to the botanical garden and around town a bit, so I thought I'd throw these pictures up.
The Christchurch Yacht Club

The mighty skippers...
Duck just chillin' out

Inside the conservatory

Several flowering plants in the conservatory

Roses from the Rose Garden

Awesome climbing tree

I like the contrast between the crap that we make and mess up the world with vs the beauty of nature

Punting along the Avon

An nice view in the gardens

Town center, called Cathedral square. Christchurch....churchs...yeah, there are a few here.
A giant game of chess ends

One for the guys: the Canterbury Draught brewery. No tours....dang.

If you get the chance to view the interior of the churches, it is usually worth it. Don't worry about the stepping on holy ground thing, that's a myth. The slippery sands of socialism are afoot in the U.S. but I'm not sure they could spend more than the current administration has in the last year+, so I guess we will see. Your feet getting sore yet?
